Harlequin

At this crossroads Iâve never seen,
Iâm half awake, half in a dream.
Not a soul in sight at the edge of town,
I just stare and feel the sun go down.
And Iâm drawing near, and Iâm far away,
And I think I got there yesterday.
I had a home, but I couldnât stay,
Donât ask my why I ran away.
Late at night I still see your face,
Canât believe youâve gone and thereâs no trace,
But Iâm tired enough and I just donât care,
Maybe you were never really there.
When Iâm drawing near, but Iâm far away,
And I think I got there yesterday,
Then I start to dream and I start to burn,
But I know thereâs nowhere I can turn.
Harlequin, you donât recall the things you learn at all.
Here I stand alone, the truth does hurt, the heart is stone,
And everyoneâs just flesh and bone, just flesh and bone,
Like you.
At a crossroads Iâve never seen,
Iâm half awake, half in a dream.
Thereâs no going back, thereâs no end in view,
Doesnât seem thereâs much that I can do.
Am I drawing near, am I far away?
Do you think I got there yesterday?
I donât see the point, but I never do,
I guess Iâm always passing through.
Harlequin, you donât recall the things you learn at all.
Here I stand alone, the truth does hurt, the heart is stone,
And everyoneâs just flesh and bone, just flesh and bone,
Like you.too
